Do fairies have any friends, and who are they?

Ophelia Fey says -- Leaoni, Oh yes, fairies do have many friends. That is, most do. There are those, as you can imagine, who very few want to be around. Much like in the mortal realm.

A fairy's friends depends mostly on what element they belong to -- earth, air, fire, water, and so forth. And the location of their community. And if they tend to be a solitary or social fae. And if they have much contact with the human world.

Many fairies have friends from several elements. For instance, a forest fairy may live near a field with many wildflowers, and also a pond with water beings. And there will naturally be beings of the air element in the area as well. As for fire, well that would be a bit less common in a forest. In addition, a forest fae may have strong attachments to the animals that live there. Even take them as pets (although we of course do not confine them).

If a fairy lives near and is used to people, they may also have mortal friends. And let me make it quite clear that these mortals may not even be aware that they have fairies as friends! That is very often the case. Yet there we are.

So we may enjoy their company in the garden, outside in nature, or perhaps in the kitchen or near a fireplace or windowsill, chatting and laughing with them although they do not hear us.

We may especially enjoy their singing, music and dancing. I have been informed many a time with many a giggle that there is a particularly fashionable style called hip-hop. It appears that the days of the waltz and minuet are quite gone. We may also be intrigued by a variety of hobbies and may even provide inspiration to humans we have taken on as friends.

And then the baking and cooking and delicious crumbs and treats left behind -- those we naturally adore. Should a mortal be aware of the presence of fairies (even though not seeing us) and make us little somethings, well that is ever so delightful.

Now please everyone, do not write and individually ask me if you have fairy friends or how can you start seeing fairies, for I cannot possibly answer you all! But I have left many hints here and there sprinkled around this web site. Perhaps you will find them if you read further...
