What happens if a mortal is kissed by a faerie? Would the mortal gain faerie-like abilities?

Ophelia Fey says -- Chloe, it depends on what you think of as fairy-like abilities. If you mean being able to fly, grow wings, and turn into a fairy, then no. That will not happen as long as you are human and are in your life here in this world and dimension on planet earth.

However, if you mean an increase in intuition, even what is known as extrasensory perception, Seeing into the Unseen, an increase in Awareness, and certain other secrets that I will not go into here because I will get smothered in questions that I cannot possibly have the chance to answer, plus it is difficult to explain so you'd understand -- then yes, those things can happen.

These other "secrets" become quite obvious when they happen to someone. I have had several people correspond with me, in fact, about them. When you have truly been kissed or blessed by a fairy, you will often have a very strong feeling about it. You may receive special dreams as well.

Some people, though, get into a sort of state of confusion because they can tell something may have shifted, but do not quite know what. And they get a highly increased interest in fairies and the Unseen world and sometimes do not understand why. These are all signs. It takes awhile for things to sink in, to filter down through the different layers of human consciousness. And so the effect of contact with fairies is not always immediate. For some. Depending on their state of mind when it happened of course.

Have I been kissed?

Hi Ophelia,
I was just wondering if I have been kissed/blessed by a fairy. Ever since I was little I have been able to feel other people’s pain or emotions. If someone got hurt or if they were sad or happy or anything else I would be able to feel it as well. I wouldn't be able to take it away completely but I would be ale to make it dull a little. I have always felt like there is something more out there that I couldn't see but I could feel. What do you think? Thanks you so much, Keturah

[Ophelia Fey says] - There are some people who are highly sensitive, and this indeed can be a gift. But you must be careful that it does not drain you. Protect yourself. It is quite possible that you have been blessed by a spirit of nature (fairy) and perhaps it is your guide. Many people who are highly sensitive or who are what is called an Empath (empathetic) have guides. And you are very correct - that there is much "out there" that you do not see. Except that it is not "out there," it is very near and all around you. Feeling it is an important first step.

Hi! There is an entire full-length, romantic comedy stage play about this! It's about a mortal who inherits a cottage from a grandfather he never knew he had The old housekeeper, Mrs. Corrigan, tells him that the townsfolk say it's haunted - but he discovers that at night a full grown woman appears who says she's a faery. Turns out she really is! It is a touching love story - and there is a rumor that there's a prequel being written. The story is based very accurately on Celtic Lore and Legend. Have I been kissed?

Every since I was a little girl I always wanted to believe there was something more out there something better. I'm fascinated with the "fantasy world" and even have a cabinet just for fairy figurines. Even as a child I have been able to get feelings from people. Even now as an adult I can even feel people over the internet in chats (sometimes even their feelings). I love nature and water; I feel at peace. I have often wandered into the woods and been drawn to a certain tree which makes me feel more at peace. I never knew why I would get these feelings. I have always been my own person and am very kind hearted. Could I have been kissed as a child? I would like to get closer to lovely fairies such as yourself.

[Ophelia Fey says] - Hello, Stevie-Rae. You are very right to want to believe there is "more out there," because there most definitely is! Yes, you could have been kissed by the spirits of nature (also known as fairies) as a child. You are not alone in being able to Feel the feelings and lives of others. I hear about this frequently. This is the sign of a highly sensitized mortal, and it is actually not that uncommon. Plus, as people "unplug" from the material and electronic world more and return more to nature again and to the Knowings of the own Inner Selves, this ability can be increased. It is sometimes called ESP or refined Intuition. It is a natural state, actually, yet so many have lost touch with that part of themselves. As it is developed more, the possibility of Seeing and Hearing beyond the five senses increases. Those who have been "kissed" by fae do find this to be easier.

Kissed by a fairy?

I think I may have been kissed by a fairy, but it was on my lips. I once read that you should be wary of fairy kisses. Is this true?

[Ophelia Fey says] - Fairy kisses are not like mortal kisses, but rather are little blessings. They carry Light and Love. The only time, then, one should be wary is if your own energy is not compatible with Light and Love. Then the kiss could trigger off in you that which is deep within you that is not compatible. This usually does not happen, because fairies are careful as to whom they bless with kisses, and can normally determine who has such energy. This is the typical way a fairy kiss happens, and so it is not something fearful.

My mom told me I was kissed by a fairy at birth

I'm fifteen now but when I was younger my mother hung two oak branches by my door, one was a glittering silver another a shining gold. So when I got older I asked my mom why she always hung them near my bedroom door and dried cedar branches by my window. She said that when I was born I was very independent and stubborn and hated the city in which we lived in and loved to sing and dance in the small wild garden near the park. So the Summer Court King and Winter Court Queen took an interest in me and both kissed my forehead when I fell asleep in the garden and weaved the branches in my crazy curly hair. Since then I've always been the "insightful one" and the "wise one".

I still have the branches tucked away in a cherry wood box. How the world works. By the way Ophelia, are you going to dance in the upcoming blizzard in Cali like me?

Fae Kiss

I think I may have been kissed by a faerie. I was sitting in a tree in the woods and having a lovely chat with a squirrel. But for some reason the squirrel ran away, so I was left alone. But I felt like something small was sitting on my nose. Then I thought it felt like it kissed my forehead. Love, Morgana xoxo

[Ophelia Fey says] - Yes, you indeed may have been kissed by a fairy. Squirrels, you know, are very nervous creatures and often run away from us as well. Perhaps it sensed our presence and that made it nervous so it left.

How can I get a fairy to kiss me?

[Ophelia Fey says] - Simply ask them to. Keep in mind that fairy kisses are not the same as a mortal's, as we are made of different forms of energy. And so they would feel quite light and airy. These are not the romantic types of kisses that I am referring to, but those of Love or Kindness or a Thank You. If you invite a fairy kiss, it may not happen right then, but perhaps a little later after the asking. But if you stay Aware, you may sense it when it happens.

Dear Ophelia

I think a fairy might have kissed me. I'm not quite sure, but one night after I invited them into my bedroom before I fell asleep. I felt a small breeze in-between my eyes. It was almost as if someone was blowing on my face, but very, very lightly. But it was noticeable enough for me to open my eyes. I straight away thought it was a fairy.
Do you think this was a fairy kiss? I'm not quite sure because I'm not sure what fairy kisses feel like! Or do you think it was just the wind? I do leave my windows open but the curtains are closed.

[Ophelia Fey says] -- What you described could very possibly be a fairy kiss. It does feel much like a little breeze or a falling feather. Or as if something fizzy were fizzing on your face. But also you will get an inner feeling that there is something to it. That a someone might just be there. You will get a knowing. It might leave you light-headed and a bit dizzy. And you could either then feel suddenly energized, or feel very much like falling asleep. People react in different ways.

The fact that it happened right after you invited fairies in, and also that you got a distinct feeling about it, are strong signs.
