Fairy Love

I was curious if fairies (and Fairy Kings) fall in love with humans. If so, I was curious how a fairy would go about getting the human to fall for him/her. I'm especially curious about what happens if the human does not fall for the fairy. Thanks.
Ophelia Fey says -- Morgan, nowadays such things are much less common. It is possible that a fairy might find a human quite fetching from a distance. But the time has long since passed when the worlds of Faerie and yours have been so closely connected. Fairies have withdrawn more and more, over time, deeper into our world. Very seldom do we approach in such a manner. And it is highly unlikely that what you would call a fairy king would approach this dimension.
Much has to do with the consciousness of people here. The wars, the inattentiveness to the natural world, less caring. But also the rapid pace of technology and industry which causes such a diversion.
So many young ladies (as well as men), for instance, seem to have an electronic gadget almost glued to their ear. Or ear phones of some kind. This would be rather unattractive to fairy folk. They would know you are preoccupied and not paying attention. Plus the electronic frequencies do interfere with the frequency of Faerie. So it is ever so much more difficult for us to connect. That is one reason I have advised people that if they want to see or attract fairies, it is important to have time out from these electronics.
Should a fairy take a fancy to one of you, it would probably be mere curiosity. We certainly would not try to get someone to fall for us. If that person perhaps showed signs of having very specific qualities and an awareness that we would resonate with, then interest might occur.
If that awareness were present, then it is possible that such a person could probably see us. The fairy would then try to show himself (or herself). And if the person was not too startled so as to break the connection, and if there was a mutual interest, then perhaps he would invite the person through a portal into the periphery of Faerie. To see how the person reacts. A small gift might also be given.
There are a lot of if's, as you can see. And it is such an effort that it is almost not worth it. I do not mean to say, of course, that people are not "worth it." What I mean is, to make a love connection is a bit improbable, and most of us would not proceed. And the issue usually is not whether the mortal falls for us, but that they are unable to maintain the connection needed for any length of time. And the same from our end.
If a young lady, say, declined interest in a male fae, then that fairy would most likely take the attitude of "as you wish," bow, and remove himself.
This is not to say such things would never, ever happen. Perhaps somewhere with someone, they would. Who knows.
