Fairy Sketches

Watch An Artist Draw

If you enjoy fairy sketches (maybe draw them yourself?) then this is just the page for you. As some of you may know, Mary the Mortal is an artist, particularly doing fairies in art since childhood. From time to time people have written in and asked just how she does her art. (See the sneak preview on the right).

A Note From Mary...

Hello everyone! I’m really excited to to give here a little step-by-step demonstration of just what I do, showing how to draw fairies. In the pictures below, see how I begin, add detail and shading, draw eyes, hair, wings, fairy “make-up”, accessories, etc. As I add to the sketch, I'll put the new picture on this page. And also write comments.

I’ll start out here with very simple pencil drawings of fairies, and by the time I’m done, it should be quite detailed. So just click on Step 1, Fairy Eyes below to get started. Every couple days I’ll be adding some more detail and posting the new picture here.

You will need to start with Step 1 on the bottom of the page. (It's how the program orders the sequence, at this time).

Please Note: All images hold a Copyright, and are therefore protected by international copyright law. They may not be copied, distributed, sold, or used on any other web site. Thank you.
