Fairy Spotting Locations
What specific places do you know fairies are mostly located at and seen with the human eye?
Ophelia Fey says -- I have somewhat answered this before, and also given information on the pages, How To See Fairies, and Secret Mystical Scenery.
Fairies are almost always found out in nature, especially away from civilization. Water falls, the sea, ponds, forests including rain forests, fields, and around certain ruins, castles, and sacred places. Almost in every part of the world. Except very few in Antarctica. Snow and ice fairies prefer the North.
And so, if mortals have trained themselves or can naturally See (usually passed on through generations) they will see us. Because the belief in the spirits of nature has been so strong (and the history of this is older) in the Britain, France, Germany, Romania and Eastern Europe, and the Scandinavian countries, there are places there where the veil is thinner. And sightings are more frequent. That is not to say there are not places in other countries as well.
Sightings occur mostly during the high points of the cycles of nature -- the Soltices, the Equinoxes; sunrise, midday, sunset; and the cycles of the moon especially the Full and New Moon.
If you visit the ruins, a sacred place, remote waterfall or old forest in any one of these regions, at the times mentioned, I can almost guarantee fairies will be present. Such as Tintagel, Glastonbury, and a place called Huntsham Court in Devon, in Britain; Skellig Michael, Clonmacnois, and around County Sligo in Ireland (to name a few); Bad Frankenhausen, in the Kyffhäuser region of Germany; all around the Rhine and the Black Forest; Fjærland, Jostedalbreen Glacier, Sognefjord and the fiords of Norway, etc. Also British Columbia such as Knight Inlet; and Alaska, like the Kenai River area. And most of the provincial areas of France. Such as near Dordogne, Aix En Provence, Avignon, and Chamonix. There are so very many places. Whether you can see them or not, depends on the individual.
