Fairy Tips on Wishing

by Kiki
(Virginia Beach, Virginia)

Hi, I made a wish here the other day. And I've been focusing on it and trying to pull it back. But every time I try, something doesn't work. And I was wondering, are there any tips or things I can do to make it come true? Please And Thank You.

Ophelia Fey says -- I get many, many questions about wishing. It is a very popular topic! One of the biggest tips is to simply be patient. As I've mentioned, every wish needs a growing time. In nature, it is called a gestation time for plants and for animals in eggs and wombs. It is the same with wishes. And that time depends on the wish and the Wisher -- your ability to receive it. There is no way of me or anyone knowing how long it will take.

I know it is exciting to think about a wish coming true. But patience is the main thing. And not trying. You don't need to try anything. You just need to hold it in your mind, spend some time every day picturing or imagining it as though it already came true. And look for any hints in your daily life for things that you might need to do. Actions steps for you to take.

I also suggest not sharing it with anyone, unless that someone has something to do with making it happen. Otherwise, it can get "diluted." Or someone can sort of pop the bubble of your hopes and dreams. You know what happens when you pop a balloon. It is very tough to get it to stay afloat. Keep it to yourself.

And keep trying. Unless it comes to your attention that this is not a wish you should have made. Then graciously give it up. I suggest that when you make a wish, you ask the Universe, the Powers That Be, to adjust it to the highest and the best for you. That way there is no danger of it going "wrong." And if it is not meant to happen because it is not the best for you, then it will not.

Wish isn't meant to be?
by: Lisa

Hi Ophelia, I'm Lisa and I recently made a fairy wish! I'm just wondering, you said here that if a wish is not meant to come true, it won't, but how do you know? But you said that a wish are put in your soul because it is supposed to come true? I really, really, really want my wishes to come true. But I'm afraid that my wish isn't meant to come true, and I'm investing so much energy into it. I have asked God and the universe to adjust it to the highest and best for me, so will it come true? Thank you oh so much Ophelia.
ps. this is my first time making a wish :)

[Ophelia Fey says] -- Very deep wishes that come from your heart and soul are put in your soul because you are meant to pursue them. The question is, then, about the nature of your wish and its strength, and your soul-feeling about it. There are frivolous wishes (like wanting to be turned into something or having one's hair grow long over night). These are not what I am talking about. They are not True Wishes from one's spirit self.

If you are afraid that your wish is not meant to come true, you need to ask yourself why are you afraid. Are you afraid because you really know deep inside that it is not right for you? Are you trying to you involve someone else without their knowledge or consent? Or are you afraid because you have never tried this before and it is new, and nothing has yet come about?

Since I do not know your wish, nor should I know, I cannot comment on whether it will come true. But it you persist and you believe, and you really, really feel it inside of you that it is True, then it is a matter of time before it begins to show up. And sometimes in unusual ways. That is why it was very wise of you to ask for it to be adjusted to the highest and best for you. Sometimes a wish starts to show up slowly, a little at a time. You hardly recognize what it happening, and then all of a sudden it dawns on you. Other times it can happen quickly.

People these days are very used to having things happen instantly with almost no effort of focus. So they have not developed their own strong, power to attract and develop their wishes. So it is very, very important that if you truly believe in your wish, that you hold on to that and stay Open to what might come about.

Wish Still Comes True?
by: Wisher

Hello Ophelia, Did I break my wish if at first I believed a lot, then after a while I had doubts, but then I started to believe again? So will my wish still come true even though this happened, or do I have to re-do it?

[Ophelia Fey says] - It sounds to me like you should first review your wish and ask yourself why it is that you doubted it.

Is it truly that which, deep down inside, you do want? Is it truly do-able? Are you sure you are not forcing your will and your wants upon that of another? What is it that you need to adjust in yourself to get over the doubt? If you have a TRULY burning desire for it, and it is do-able, then a little bit of doubt should not matter too much. If, however, you really had given up, then you will want to re-establish your wish. That is, re-do it. Re-create the energy of it.

But first you must determine why it is you want your wish, and how much do you really, really want it. Are you willing to be patient, and to take steps to help it along, should that be needed? These are some main things to ask yourself about your wish.

Make or break my wish?
by: Sarah

hello ophelia i just wanted to know if you can tell whether you have broke the tie to your wish or if it is still going. How can you tell? should i just make a whole new wish and start again? i don't really want to but im not sure if my wish fizzled out before it got to me. please answer.
and thank you Ophelia,
love Sar xxx

[Ophelia Fey says] -- Sarah, the best way I can explain it is that you just Know if your wish has fizzled. You get a strong feeling that you've broken the tie to your wish. If you have made a do-able wish from your heart and have for the most part stayed positive about it, believing in it, then you most likely have not broken your tie. Just remember that wishes often do take time to happen. So patience is the main thing. And that also means being Calm. There is an old saying: "Calm is Power." (Very handy to remember for many things in life). There is no harm in repeating your wish. It does not mean it will happen twice, repeating itself; just that you have reinforced it. And you can state it like that. The Universe, after all, is Intelligent.

Someone's wish
by: Arena

Hello Ophelia, I'm Arena and I'm twelve years old.
Is it ok to wish for someone else if that is their wish? I have read your pages about wishing and I know I'm not allowed to wish for other people but in my case it is their wish, but I'm just wishing their wish for them. Does that make sense? :) I hope it does because I really would like to know!
Thanks very much! xoxo

[Ophelia Fey says] -- Hello Arena. It is always best for the person to make a wish for herself or himself. Because real wishes come from the heart -- one's own heart. And although your wish for them may be quite sincere, it will never have the same Power as it does when it comes from their own heart. And without that Power, the possibility of it happening lessens. It's watered down from the start.

Plus, anything that comes out of you, gets "colored" by your Being. Filtered, you might say. On the other hand, whatever comes out of this other person you'd like to wish for, gets colored by their Being. And that will be quite different from yours, of course. Each person has their own "signature" or stamp upon the energy and wishes they send forth. (That is one way the Universe knows who gets what wishes, energy, etc. back). Any wish that you make for someone else gets stamped with your essence. It is therefore not the same as if they made it for themselves.

I hope this make sense to you. It is the best way I could think of to explain how it works.

Wishing About Animals
by: Anonymous

Can you wish for animals, like pets? Thanks :)

[Ophelia Fey says] -- I'm not sure exactly what you mean. If you mean can you wish to receive a pet, then yes, you certainly can. Just make sure it is what you really, really want, and that you will be able to afford it and care for it. Caring for animals is a responsibility not to be taken lightly. It takes time. And it does take money (there are a lot of unexpected costs now, in your modern world).

If you mean wishing about something FOR the pet, like if it is sick -- you can try. Animals do not have free will like humans do, so it is not a matter of your Will pitted against their Will. And who will "win," and what lessons are supposed to be learned, etc. (Although I may have to take that back. Animals often have a purpose to teach us lessons).

Animals do have their Time, though. And they are subject to problems like illness and even injury in your world. So these things may come about. Nonetheless, you can make a wish for them -- and ask for it to be adjusted for the Highest and Best outcome. It may be that it is meant for the pet to pass on. Or for you to learn a lesson in some way. This may seem painful to you, but you are trying to understand things through the filter of your human mind -- and judging. We just do not know all the "ins and outs" of the Universe.

Perhaps I am rambling. I tend to do that sometimes. Anyway, yes, you can wish about a pet. They will appreciate it that you care to do so.
