fairy writing

How do you read fairy writing?

Ophelia Fey says -- Hello Helen. About fairy writing: unless you happen to know the language of fairies, it would be very difficult for you to read fairy writing. Most likely you would need a fairy translator. Unless they happened to be writing in your language. Which many fairies do not know how to do.

And also, when fairies write, we sometimes use fae ink, which is different than yours and would be challenging for you to see with your human eyes. Like other things from the dimension of our Faerie realm.

Should you happen upon a note written in your language with your kind of ink, then there should be no problem reading it.

Fairies Sleeping?
by: Anonymous

Hello, I wrote to a fairy all spring, summer and fall, but now it is winter and I have tried daily writing to him, leaving the notes in the same place as always. And all winter he has not written back. I was wondering if fairies sleep in the winter? Meaghan

[Ophelia Fey says] - Meaghan, perhaps there are some fairies who sleep in winter. But most would migrate, following the ways of nature. Or they may withdraw deeper into the realm of Faerie, and away from the world of mortals. Not all fairies do enjoy the winter months. Except, of course, those made for it. Also, some fairies come and go. You may not always have the same ones around, and so if new ones came, they may not be responding to your notes in the same way. But that does not mean they are not there or that they do not care. They may just not be the type that would respond back to a note - at least not in your writing.

And a special note about fairy writing - I have had several people ask to learn the fairy language and writing. I am not a qualified teacher, because our language is so very different that I would not even know where to begin. For one thing, some of the sounds you could not form and pronounce, nor could you hear them. Our ways would be considered beyond "foreign." So no, I am not able to teach fairy writing and language.

Maybe a fairy won't answer you because maybe you just have to believe in them harder! Or maybe because they are scared...just keep your eyes open. And also, the note should be on a tree, in or on a flower, or somewhere far from your house. But the note has to be also in hidden places because they are too scared and probably shy. Hope this helps.

[Ophelia Fey says] -- Thank you for your thoughts! It is true that fairies can sometimes be shy. Sometimes scared. But perhaps not as scared as you may think. After all, it is very easy for us to remove ourselves and go elsewhere, should we find something or someone to be upsetting. When people leave notes for fairies, we do read them. But as I've mentioned, we may not answer them in the way that you expect. We may not write an actual note back because it is not our way. But know that your writings are noticed and appreciated. We may "answer" you in other ways though. Like making something grow particularly well in your garden. If it is winter, causing a spectacular frost. Or causing quite a lovely rainbow to happen close to the ground where there is dew. Or bringing songbirds to where you are. We hope that you will learn to notice these small things, as these are fairy ways. And we hope you will come to understand that these ways are often our ways of answering you, and letting you know that we do love your notes and attention!

thanks

My Fairy Writing
by: Anonymous

I left a letter to the fairies on Jan. 19 2011, but they had not written back and I want to talk to them. But if they talk to me in my deep sleep, I won't remember them talking to me. So I left a note where they can write under the line I made. why I haven't got a respond back?

[Ophelia Fey says] - You are thinking in human terms. Fairies are nature spirits first and foremost. They do not necessarily communicate through the human ways of writing. And they do not necessarily understand your language, nor can they perhaps read it. So I suggest that if you are not getting a response, that this is the case. People tend to want nature spirits to communicate with them according to their own ways. But these may not be our ways.

As I've mentioned, you can best first learn to communicate through your heart, feeling our presence with you first. Dreams can also work, and we do not always send you messages while in a deep sleep. We can often communicate with you quite well in those in-between states - between wake and sleep, where you then can remember. Many people have written me with success of this. Try keeping a notebook by your bed and write what comes to you, should you receive a message in your dreams. The more you practice this, the better you will become at learning what the dreams mean. But it does take practice.

When people want to communicate with nature spirits, they must ask themselves if they are willing to do what it takes to learn to get past their 5 senses, to learn a new way. Things are not always instant when working with beings who live on a different level (although they could be). Learning a new way does take practice and patience.
