Granting Wishes

by Roxie
(America)

Can Fairies actually grant wishes? Like, make them come true. Because in movies, a person asks the fairy for, let's just say a dog. And BAM! The dog appears in front of them! Does that actually happen? Or did movies just make it like that? People say that there are different kinds of fairies, and the ones that grant wishes are 'Wish Fairies'? Thanks so much for your help!

Ophelia Fey says -- Oh how I love mortal movies. They are just so amusing. But, as you said, simply made for a movie.

Yes, there are Wish Fairies. But Fairy Wishes do not happen that way. (I am not an expert on other kinds of wishes to other beings, to the Universe, etc.). Not that wishes couldn't happen that way, mind you. It's just that humans are not able to receive wishes that way. The way wishes can and cannot work largely depends on the wisher. Their own abilities and development of their own inner power. And humans are very far from being able to receive wishes in one BAM!

Fairies are only allowed to grant wishes within the possibilities of the human world. I have gone into this in other pages about wishing. We definitely guide you when a wish is made and help as best we can to steer you into the ways it can come true (and there usually are more than one or two possibilities).

But some of the effort must be up to the mortal. Action steps you might say. Because in your realm, part of your reason for being is to work toward various kinds of mastery. We are not allowed to just do it all for you. But, as I said, we will guide you when an actual wish is made. That is, if the wish is a Real Wish and within our scope of being able to work with it. Some of your wishes are entirely out of the possibility range. Like turning someone into a mermaid. Or causing someone to be able to fly like a fairy. Ain't going to happen, as they say.

Thank you for asking this question. It is very important for people to understand the reality about wishing. What can and cannot be done. At least with Fairy Wishes.

Help!
by: Ivy Opal Alk

You see, my mom just got really sick/hurt and I wish for her to return to herself again. But am I breaking the rules for wishing about someone else?

[Ophelia Fey says] - Opal, it is always honorable to want someone you care about to be well. The thing is, no one knows what Lessons need to be learned from this situation. It may seem Bad to you, but there are deeper reasons behind all things. Therefore, always wish (or pray for, for that matter), the Highest and Best in any situation. Especially when it has to do with someone else. You can certainly wish to send lots of good and healing energy her way. And then it is up to Higher Powers.

Not Just for Me
by: Lanella

I have a wish. The same one I have been making for a very long time. I have believed, had faith, persevered, not given up, all what I am supposed to do. But so far my wish has not come to fruition. Before whenever I made my wish, I wished just for myself. But my wish will have repercussions for someone else. The reality is that if my wish does come true it will impact someone I love in a good way. So this time after I found your site and made my wish, I included this person. Should I have done that?

[Ophelia Fey says] - I would not advise to include anyone else in your wish. It is true that many wishes will indeed have repercussions for others. What you think may be "good" for a person may not be at all what that person in actuality is supposed to be Learning at this point in his or her life. But if you ask that your wish be done in accordance with what is the Highest and Best, both for you and others, than you have done the best that you can. And the Universe will take care of the rest. One way or another.

Are There Any Steps?
by: Brooke

Are there any steps in making a wish come true? This wish is quite impossible, but it is something I'd be willing to do anything for. I've wanted it so badly. I've never found the right steps or the right website. They're always wrong. I'd do anything. Not hurt my family of course, but anything not cruel. Are there any steps to follow? I made a wish on a wishing star, I made a wish at 11:11, I wrote my wish on a piece of paper and burned it with a candle, I wrote my wish on a piece of paper and put it under my pillow, I've believed, and still do, it will come true, and I tried Real Wishes. But If I could just make it come faster, my life would be complete. I've needed this for many years, I know its something I need and I will be very happy if it happens. most people would not like it to happen to them, its a strange wish. please help me with my very impossible wish.

[Ophelia Fey says] - Brooke, firstly, when you call your wish "impossible" you are making a very strong statement that is immediately and strongly pushing your wish away. If it is truly impossible according to natural law for mortals (such as being turned into a mermaid or something), then it is simply impossible. Period. Nothing anyone can do about that. But if the feeling of impossibility is in your own mind... why?

It is admirable that you are "willing to do anything," but are you really? How do-able would that really be if your wish is so impossible? And also, your wish should not interfere with the lives and Free Will of others. At all.

No "steps" in the world can make a wish come true if YOU truly think it is impossible. Because the power of a wish coming true is ultimately with You. Within You. "Steps" are only tools to help your outer mind follow in step with what your inner Self deeply desires and knows to be right for you. Perhaps your inner Self knows this wish is truly not right for you, and thus causes you to believe it is impossible.

So you can follow all kinds of outer steps till the cows come home, as it is said, and so what. They won't necessarily work. Until you Believe in your wish fully. This also called Faith. Therefore it of utmost importance to be rigorously honest with yourself and Your Self, to truly understand and know if this is indeed a genuine and do-able wish for You.

Is seeing required?
by: Britney

When they come, do you have to see the wish to catch it, or you don't see the wish?

[Ophelia Fey says] -- I am not sure what you mean by seeing a wish. You need to be able to "see" your wish as true in your mind's eye if you really want it, otherwise it is not a very true or strong wish. But as for actually Seeing it when it arrives, that depends on whether it is the type of wish that you would actually see. Or is it one that you would Feel, or just Know? So it depends. If it is one that you would see, such as a thing, then yes you would see it. And that is how you know it happened. But first be sure your wish is genuine and do-able (for nature beings to help with, that is). And be patient and steady.

Staying up all night?
by: starr

I know you're supposed to believe in what you wish on, but does it require staying up all night and saying it at a certain time?

[Ophelia Fey says] - Certainly not, Starr! You may wish your wish at any time you'd like. They power comes from within your own heart and has nothing to do with the time of day (or night). In the non-physical world, remember, Time is not the same anyway. Then when your wish has gone from your heart into the Universe, you must let it go, Believe, and allow it to take the time it needs to Happen... like a seed growing. Staying up all night is totally unnecessary and will not be of any special help. It will only make you very tired and then less likely to be focused. And could even be dangerous to your well-being.

Secrets of granting wishes
by: Brooke

To grant a wish, you should never tell anyone your wish, otherwise it won't come true. You must believe in the wish and follow your wish. Never give up on your wish.

[Ophelia Fey says] - Thank you, Brooke. You are quite right that you should not tell about your wish - unless someone in particular should know about it only because they would be of aid to you in helping it happen. That is up to each person to think about and decide. But you would not have to share that it is a "wish."

I would like to say, though, that if a person does tell, there is still a possibility that the wish can happen anyway. A very strong Belief (and Expecting)can overcome many obstacles. And the never giving up part is also extremely important. It is sometimes called Persistence. These things may sometimes take Time - and one never knows exactly how long. It all depends on the wish and on the person.

Dont tell anyone what you wished for
by: Alyssa

The only thing is, your not suppose to tell anyone what you wished for! Is the right?

[Ophelia Fey says] - Yes, Alyssa, you are right. It is best to keep your wishes in your heart. Otherwise others' opinions or criticisms can (if you want a visual picture of what I mean) pop holes in the energy of your wish, much like a balloon. There are some circumstances in which others may need to be involved to help the wish happen. You may then carefully mention certain things, as you feel led. But you don't have to say it's a "Wish."

True wishes are very private matters that come from the heart. Other people may not understand them. And, in fact, you may not fully understand it yourself. You do not need to explain it to anyone. You even do not need to try to explain it to yourself.

omg i love this granting wishes
by: Anonymous

Thank you, who ever owns this. I love the picture. One of my wishes came true. I dont know, how but it did. I am so happy.

[Ophelia Fey says] - Excellent! You must have had a very True wish from deep within your heart and soul, with a burning desire for it, and persisted in believing that it would come true, holding it in your mind and heart. Once you understand what to do, you can do it again.

Wishes and Belief
by: Jade

If you don't believe in fairies but you have a wish within you and you do the right steps will your wish come true?

[Ophelia Fey says] - A wish comes from your heart to the Universe (or whatever you choose to call the Power That Is). Nature spirits such as fairies simply help it along. They, themselves, do not really "make" it happen. And so, No, you do not have to believe in fairies to make your wish come true. We are only helpers, and of course there is only so much we can do. And making a Wish to a wishing fairy is just one way to do a Wish - it helps keep you focused for one thing, and also to get a boost. But there are ever so many more ways. So it does not matter. We would never claim to have a monopoly on wishing!

I cannot comment on whether your wish will come true, since there are so many factors involved. Like, is it even a do-able wish. What it is. Also keep in mind that there is a growing period (in nature it is called "gestation") for everything. Plus, there is the issue of the wisher her/himself possibly pushing away the very wish they are wishing for. But if you make the wish right, if you have a burning desire for it, if you hold on to your belief, and are willing to take the steps needed, then there is an excellent chance your wish will come true.

I have been asked in the past -- isn't this kind of the same thing as setting a "goal" (which may seem a bit "common"). Yes, it is ...in a way. It does not matter what you call it. Wish. Goal. What difference does it make- those are only human words. What is important is the concept behind it: that you are working with the Powers of the Universe - and part of that Power (being that you are a creation of the Universe) is within You. You just have to know it and to claim it and to have confidence in it. And once you get the feel for that, once something wonderful has happened, then you will understand how it is. And you will know that you can have it happen again.

I love the photos that have you in them, Ophelia!

[Ophelia Fey says] - Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoy them.

My faery friend :)
by: Bella

If my faery says she will grant me wishes, does that mean she will? I keep thinking that she might be joking but I'm not sure. I have two wishes that I would like to be granted, will she grant them? thank you for answering! xx

[Ophelia Fey says] -- I cannot speak for another fairy, and I do not know the fairy friend you are referring to. All I know is that you should very carefully consider your wishes. I have tried to give some good tips on wishing, and I recommend that you read them.

How do I make a wish?
by: Morgan

Hi Ophelia! How would I make a wish? Would I type it in? Thank you! - Morgan:)

[Ophelia Fey says] -- To make a wish you do not need a computer, of course. But we have put a wishing section here for your use, to help you focus on what you want; to help your mind and heart focus in order to send it out. And writing (typing) it out also helps do that. But really, a wish comes from your heart. That is the main thing. That is where the core power lies.

After you have read all of the wishing pages and understand about fairy wishes, then you may simply go to the Send A Real Wish page, and just start typing. The instructions are very easy to follow. All of the wishes are completely private.
