House Fairies

by Cat
(United States)

Ophelia, I only have 2 friends and I want a fairy friend! Where can I locate house fairies in my house? And what time would they be out?

Ophelia says -- A favorite fairy spot in the house is the kitchen, especially if you bake. And a window area around plants and flowers. Especially if it is sunny. Also, many fairies love animals and like to be around nice pets. Certain fairies just love glitter and glitz, as on top of a dresser where there is jewelry, gold and silver, or a jewelry box. Good fairies do love harmony and tidy surroundings the best. So keep that in mind and try to create an attractive space in your home if you want fairies to come around.

Fairies can come out at any time. Our sleep is not like your sleep. We rest to re-energize and we may do that at any time of the day or night. Perhaps for a very short time, perhaps for a long time -- it depends on what is going on in our lives.

You may have fairies already in your home. You just need to learn to see them (I have answered several questions about doing this). You will probably feel them or sense them first. That's a very good sign. Then you may find that surprising and unexpected little things happen in your life. Fairies help bring these about. It is one way they are trying to get your attention. So "expect the unexpected," as they say. And be sure to always thank them. Even in advance.

Fae Friends
by: Lady Rhiannon

I have a garden where I welcome them, full moon and other night (soltice, sabbaths and esbaths). We provide chocolate (only good chocolate) baked goods, they love homemade waffles and honey with milk. We always know when they are around, our three multipoos who scamper and jump at nothing. As for seeing them, oh yes all the time. Sometimes they get caught and turn into a moth or butterfly. I wish you had a place to upload a picture. Blessed be!

Wonderful world of enchanted & heavenly adventure
by: Mary

I want to thank you very much Ms.Fe for your response. It was a quite an adventure I have in the world of enchantment and in the angel realms. After those circle of lights which I realize every year before I have always encountered, my Christmas angels, because I called upon them from a guide or a mentor.

So when 4 of them appeared to me and spoke to me of good tidings and are here to guide me in my mission, then I was blessed to experience the angel's world and fairies as well. The most beautiful I've seen was not just the light, but when one fairy jumped with this twinkling light and disappear.

Since then I know God is watching us and friends in the other world of enchantment and as well; the heavenly one. Because my home is so peaceful. No more feeling eerie, scary that you feel when somebody or an entity is watching you. The feeling of peace, calm, and warmness inside me and my home too. Most of all, I became a friend of the paranormal team. Not only I learn from them, but also they learn from me too. Thank you very much.

Gardening
by: Blaze

I have a garden but I also have a dog. He constantly gets into it and I want the garden to be a faerie resting place or a place to live. What should I do? There is no possible way to keep him out. I have a fence and I planted a vine near it so he couldn't get through but until then he still can get in.

[Ophelia Fey says] - I know that dogs can sometimes be feisty and active. Fairies are not afraid of dogs, of course (they are often quite amusing), but when they are active it will be quite difficult to rest! But that is not to say that nature beings are not present in your garden anyway. They may come and go, but just not rest there.

Do fairies appear like a circle of lights?
by: Mary

This is twice a week now at 2 pm again. While my verbally handicapped son is sleeping, I sit down in the bed watching the same lights in the wall facing him. I even put a cross besides where the lights appear like they're bubbles. 3 are blue and the big one is just bright with another one in the left side of that light. After I talk to the light it will fade or disappear slowly. And why again 2 pm? Are these sign of fairies? Or a soul attached to my son? Are this fairies, the bubbles of light? Thanks. Mary

[Ophelia Fey says] - Hello, Mary. I did delete some of your message containing personal information, but I wanted to put the rest of this up. Yes, fairies, including house fairies, do gather in circles and often appear as lights. Although it is difficult for me to comment specifically since I was not there, it is quite possible that there are guides in your home. Why 2 pm, I do not know. Fairies do not care about Time the way mortals do, as you may know. So the Time part of this may be meaningless, except for an energy that they may be sensing during that part of the night/day cycle.

Can faeries live in the city?
by: Anonymous

I was wondering if fae could live in the city. I know of a small park where there's a little hill and grass (possibly flowers). I was hoping that there could be some way that there might be some lovely faeries in the city. :)

[Ophelia Fey says] - Fairies can certainly live in the city. I've written a bit about this before, in other Ask A Fairy questions. It seems to be quite a popular question. We do visit parks, shady areas, gardens, ponds, even water fountains (sometimes making small rainbows). Anywhere in a city where there is nature, fairies will eventually go. If you wit quietly, you may be able to feel their presence.

I think...
by: Kyan

I think there may be fairies or nymphs, I am not sure..., in my bedroom. My candle flames dance without stimulation and my incense smoke sometimes twirls and flutters around without my fan blowing or anything. I was wondering if it truly is fairies or am I just over analyzing it. I think I've seen wraiths before when I was young and sometimes when my chakras are opened. (I am a Buddhist.) Also, I get glimpses and sounds of faltering glamours or music enchanted. Thank you. :)

[Ophelia Fey says] - Kyan, it is quite possible that there are Beings in your room, although their exact nature would be difficult for me to know, since I was not there. It is also possible that you are sensing something with your Inner Senses (which is every bit as real at those things of your outer senses), especially since you have noted that you do work with your chakras. It is important to sense what you feel about them - i.e., whether you want them there. From what I can perceive, it sounds quite lovely.

Magic house?
by: Anonymous

A fairy moved in to my house about a year ago. She gives me gifts and letters, but I really want to see her! How should I?

[Ophelia Fey says] - Please read the page I wrote on How To See Fairies, and the various things I've written in Ask A Fairy. That will give you lots of tips. This is something that takes patience and practice.

Future Connection
by: Jill

Ophelia,

Thank you for this site. I am at the beginning stages of my journey in attempting to fully discover and hopefully connect with the world beyond my five senses. I have plans on how to come to this, but I know I am not quite ready. I am glad you mention a mess. This is one of the reasons I know I should not yet ask the fairies to visit me. My room is a mess. No matter how determined I am, I can never seem to keep it clean. I am working on this. I hope to get better and hope that the fairies can be forgiving at times. I am an organized person, just with a messy room. My goal is to get my room clean and organized and be able to keep it that way. I would like soon to get a desk to put near my window with some plants, sparkly things, treats for the fairies, fairy figurines, etc. Even though I live in the city, do you think I will be able to attract fairies once I do this? Also, do fairies like incense?

[Ophelia Fey says] -- I am soooo glad to learn your are going to keep a clean room! I try to be gentle when telling about this, but it really does make a difference in the "vibe" of a place. And which types of fairies you may attract. Your place by the window sounds like it will be very nice indeed. I know I would come to visit, were I in the area. Plants are particularly attractive. And any time you can manage fresh flowers, that is wonderful too. About incense... This can sometimes be overpowering. And some of it is not natural, but rather chemical. If you have a natural type and burn just a little so it is not overwhelming, then it will probably be just fine. And also...fairies go by feelings too. If you are happy and enjoying your space, we will feel it. After all, this is your space that you live in, and it must firstly be nice and comfortable for you. But sometimes people start feeling that it's just a big "hassle" and chore to try to attract fairies; all the things they think they need to do. We would feel that too. And it would not be as fun to be around. And yes, fairies are very forgiving. So if your room ends up like a mess from time to time, when your visitors are used to you, they may still come anyway to visit your place by the window. And you.

Room for faeries
by: Anonymous

How can i make my room suitable for faeries?
many other websites say that having a book shelf would be a good idea so they have places to hide, but if i dont have a book shelf? i do try to keep my room neat.
What else could i do to make my room good for faeries? please give me some tips on how to make my room suitable for faeries. thankyou Ophelia Fey :)

[Ophelia Fey says] -- Having a book shelf is always quite nice, but not really necessary. Fairies can actually hide any time they want to, by changing their frequency or vibration, and then the human sight does not see them. And since it seems most people have difficulty seeing them anyway, hiding is not really that much of an issue for us. And if they are coming to visit you because you want them there, then chances are they don't necessarily want to hide from you. In fact, they may be quite delighted that you are interested in them.

So if you have a little table anywhere in your room (especially in front of a window), or a small shelf mounted on a wall, or even a nice window sill, that can do just fine. If you do not have a garden or outdoors area by your window, perhaps you can have a live plant in your room. Anything that smells like the outdoors is attractive too. And something sparkly to attract attention is always good. Nature spirits tends to love anything sparkly.

Also, you could try a little music. Not all nature spirits like what you call rock, or rap, and such. Oftentimes the beat (and message) is too jarring. Something lively is fine, but not too extreme. Soothing music is wonderful as well.

I am glad to hear you are keeping your room neat. I have been asked about this before -- why fairies like tidiness. One reason is because a messy room puts out a messy "vibe" and may also reflect a messy mind with messy thinking and feeling. Chaos, in other words. Not that this is "wrong," it's just not that fun to be around. Although I do have to say there are those who thrive in chaos. But they can be pests and full of mischief. You may not want them around.
