How long to find fairies?

by Kyla

How long does it take to find a fairy? We have been looking for a fairy for two days. And we are wondering how long does it take to find a fairy in our garden in our fairy house? On the internet it said that it takes about 6 days for a fairy to come in the fairy box. But we think it is wrong because we put some bread out and when we came back in 10 minutes and there was no bread so we think the fairy comes when it wants to. We think it takes about 2 or 3 days. When we weren't there to see the rocks that we put down, there was some glitter on the the rocks and we did not put it there. So I think that the fairy put it there. But when we went back a third time, there was a spot of glitter on the ground and we think that was from the fairy too. So how long does it take to find a real fairy?

Ophelia Fey says -- Hello Kyla. There is no set amount of time to find a fairy. They may already be there, in fact, but your eyes have not yet been trained to see them.

Fairies come and go, especially in gardens. They may come right away, much sooner than 6 days. Or it might be 2 weeks if they have not yet found your garden. And we do sometimes leave a glittery dust behind. That is a good sign. I don't know what a "fairy box" is, really. Do you have a picture of one? Is it like a fairy house? A fairy would like that very much. If you have a photo, you can make another Ask A Fairy question, and put the photo on our web site. I'm sure others would like to see it too.

And for those of you who have winter -- snow fairies, frost fairies and ice fairies will also visit your gardens. They love to make them look beautiful with frost, icicles, and wonderfully shaped drifts of snow.
