Inviting Fairies

I want to believe in fairies and see them, I mean no harm to them, and I'm very open minded. I want to invite fairies to my house, but I live no where near a forest. I live in the middle of a city. Can I still invite them? Another thing is, I have two dogs, one is really calm but the other is really really hyper. Does that scare them off? Thank you for your time.

Ophelia Fey says - You may have noticed in my answers to other people, that a person does not need to live by a forest to see nature spirits. We are everywhere, including in cities. Almost all cities have a park, a lake, a stream, fountains, gardens, etc. Including sometimes indoors. In those places we will be. You can also make a place for us in your home with plants, flowers and such (please read my page on attracting fairies).

Regarding your dogs, we are used to the ways of nature and the animal kingdom. Dogs are usually "hyper" for a reason. And not all of the time. If fairies do visit your home, we may actually have a calming effect on your dog (eventually), although he indeed may get a bit more hyper at first. Because as you may know, dogs do see things that humans do not. A dog would not scare us away. But if it got really annoying, we would simply leave for awhile. It will, after all, eventually go to sleep!
