King Arthur Legend

Did your people ever meet King Arthur? Have you ever met him? And what about Merlin the magician? Did you give him his powers?
Ophelia Fey says -- You may be aware that your tales and stories of King Arthur are exactly that. He is a historical figure, to be sure, but lived around the 500's, not during the Middle Ages. He was a war lord at the time, and did have within his retinue and court certain druid priests. And one has become known as Merlin to you.
However, you may not have been nearly as impressed with his real powers if you'd known him then. He did develop his own innate abilities beyond that of most people. And so he did seem magical and impressive to others during that time. He did have the Sight, the gift of prophecy, and was able to heal. But he did not, for instance, turn people into things or animals.
Fae folk did know the war lord known to you as Arthur, as well as the druid you call Merlin. We did not give him his powers, as he already had them. But in those days people were not as cut off from the Unseen forces as they are now, and the Veil was thinner, to be sure. Those in our dimension, in Faerie, could more easily pass through, and humans were used to seeing the Unseen. It was easier for them to Believe, and so they did see. We were therefore able to help the druids, as well as other people, as to how to use their own powers. But it was already within them. As it still is today, if people would only understand that.
