Can all fairies do magic? If so, what does it look like? (Not Harry Potter, I imagine.)

Ophelia Fey says -- Yes, fairies do what mortals would consider to be magic. Although once you study the deep levels of natural law (and your quantum physics is a start), you will see that much of what we do it simply our knowledge of how to work with the laws of nature. Atoms, electrons, molecules and such. And the various kinds of energy behind it all.

So you are correct in assuming our magic does not resemble what Harry Potter does in your stories. Although it is quite clever and based on a certain amount of reality as we know it.

In Harry Potter, you see them using a wand almost all the time. In Faerie, we do not need wands really, although they can help us stay focused at first. Or we use them as an accessory because they are fun, and they cause many delightful special effects. But often using our finger tips or hands is just as effective.

Our magic can have swift or slow results, depending on what we are doing and working with. In the realm of Faerie, which is of course another dimension, we are able to handle energy quite differently because it responds to us differently there. If we were to try to do the same thing in your dimension it may not "take," or it may be slowed down.

If you could see it, though, it could look many different ways. You might see a very slight trembling and shifting in the ethers, as if the world around you was a little out of focus and vibrating. Or you may see great swirls of energy in motion, which may look like a whirlpool or vortex. And then from that something would emerge. Or it may be more like a burst, resembling your fireworks. Handling energy could also cause a fire, either a small flame with sparks, or raging. Fae fire is different than yours. We would not attempt some of this magic in your realm at all. We would not want to start a forest fire or anything. After all, we are guardians of the forests!

That is why when people make fairy wishes (and I can only speak about fairy wishes, not other kinds), they do not understand that so-called magic reacts differently in different dimensions. And also, in fact, with different people. Some people have a higher level of inner Awareness of things beyond the fine senses. And so it is far easier to work with them.
