Magical Stones

I've read about different "magical stones" like various crystals and gems and their properties. How are stones magical?
Ophelia Fey says - The word "magical" means different things to different people and cultures. Scientists know that all matter, having atoms and electrons, etc., vibrates at different speeds or frequencies. Including stones and gems. And the chemical composition differs from stone to stone. Those who are "sensitive" believe they can sense the differences, the Feel, the properties of those stones. They may Feel, for instance, healing properties, such as in the amethyst. Some stones were finely ground and included in ancient medicines. Citrine and jade were said to have the Feel of prosperity. Opal had many emotional powers. They may Feel spiritual properties in other stones, such as the diamond and amber. However, different people would Feel different "magic" in different stones ...and so it was sometimes argued over.
Down through the ages this mystique seemed quite magical. There have been numerous writings of Old by your Sages and Seers and Shamans, about the magic of certain stones. There is no doubt they do have their own energy and Feel. Beings of nature are very aware of this.
Although in the deepest Unseen levels of nature such wonders may exist, it would take a great deal of unusual expertise by mortals to truly master the Unseen planes of matter enough to be able to significantly draw out or perform what you would think of as astounding "magic" from stones and gems.
Yet, in their simple existence, it is lovely and healing just to have crystals and stones and gems present in your world. And perhaps for now that is enough.
