Meeting A Fairy

by Namva
(Bangkok)

What should I do if I met fairy?

Ophelia Fey says -- Hello Namva. It depends where and when you meet the fairy. What kind of fairy it is. How big. And what kind of a mood it is in.

Chances are if you meet a fairy it may be quite unexpected and not what you might imagine. Sometimes people try and try so hard to see fairies, and it just seems that they never will and they sort of give up. And then all of a sudden they see one. And it may just be out of the corner of their eye at first. So if you do, stay very quiet and calm. They can come and go in a split second, especially if taken off guard.

If the fairy has been trying to meet you (which does happen) then it will be very pleased when you finally notice it. But you still must stay calm. And do smile. The fairy will notice your energy and your mood. And they do like to be around happy people (although they definitely do understand that you can't always be).

Stay quiet and smile. Slowly send it a nice thought, that you are happy to see it. Then just sit (or stand where you are) and wait to see how it reacts. If it stays for more than a few seconds, you can also speak to it, quietly. And if you like to sing, please do.

The fairy may be curious about you. On the other hand, it may know you far better than you can imagine! It may come near to you, like a curious bug or bird might. Just stay quiet and see what happens.

A larger fairy can come and go much like an angel. It may seem quite "human," actually, and you may think he or she is someone helpful that has come along. (You may have read such stories in magazines or books. Or seen accounts of them on "true" TV shows). She may speak to you, help you, give you something. And then you may look away and when you look back again, he or she is gone.

One more thing -- always send gratitude to a fairy for being there, and for just Being. (Our work can sometimes be quite challenging).

Meeting a faerie
by: Alison

Ophelia, have you heard of the Wiccan group called Moving Breath? I often sing some of their songs when I'm near water. These songs are really more chants than songs but some are songs.

One chant is called Earth My Body. I sing these songs/chants as a show of thanks. Wicca is a nature oriented religion. We view the Earth as a living thing. Just as Pocahontas of the Powhatans did. There is a song from the Disney movie that I think makes a great point about proper treatment of the Earth. It is called Colors Of The Wind.
I think you would agree with the Wiccan view of the Earth.

[Ophelia Fey says] - Hello, Alison. Yes, I am indeed familiar with various groups who have respect for the earth, whether they call themselves "religions" or not ... and nature beings are grateful for all such assistance. And I do love the song you talked about; you are certainly correct about it.

As I am not involved with the formal religions of humankind (there are far too, too many to deal with -- it is almost mind-boggling, and of course every one of them thinks they are right -- I cannot comment on any "religious" aspect of anything. Religion is, after all, simply the way one really lives one's life. That is something everyone must pay attention to -- for to call oneself a member of this or that religion, and then not to truly BE it, is not gracious or living authentically. Blessed be.
