If I always dream about my wishes would my wishes come true? If I wish tell someone my wish would my wish be granted? If I wish more then once would the wishing star think I'm using for them for their wishes? If I sing in the shower about fairies would they hear me?

Ophelia Fey says -- Hello Janira -- what a beautiful name. It is similar to one that we use in Faerie. The closest to earthly language would be Janiriala, since our language is not pronouncable to you.

About wishes, make sure you carefully read the wishing pages for careful details about how wishing works. And I've answered other people's questions as well. Since I don't know your wish I can't tell if it's a true and real wish. Dreaming about a wish is important. But more importantly, holding it and seeing it in your mind no matter what, and Believing it will grow like a seed (in time) and bloom into reality, no matter what. This takes patience, which is hard for humans.

I suggest keeping your wishes to yourself unless that person has an important role in helping the wish to come true. When you share wishes, you can lose some of the energy behind them. Especially if the person who you tell it to does not believe and is scornful or critical. It is like diluting it with water or blowing it into the wind.

The human soul is full of wishes. Having wishes is a sign that you are trying to grow and expand yourself and your world. There is nothing wrong or selfish about having many. And the wishing star and wishing fairy would never think you are using them. The Universe delights in helping you accomplish what you need and want. So wish away. As long as they are for you, and do not push against the free will of another or harm others.

About singing to or about fairies in the shower, indeed we will hear you. We love all singing, even if a person doesn't think they have a very good voice. Because singing comes from the heart and feelings, and that is what fairies pay attention to.

More about serious Wishes

Ophelia, she is indeed a minor and is getting help. She is taking my advice quite seriously and she said yes please when asked about the wish. She is trying so hard. She is hanging in there.

I have been keeping a regular line of contact with her. I believe that her needing someone to talk to was a True Wish. I was the one who responded right when the need was the most intense.

I think that perhaps I was part of making that Wish come true. It was like a cry shattering the midnight stillness to me seeing that request, almost a beg for someone, anyone to understand. Thank you Ophelia for answering my question.

[Ophelia Fey says] - Hello Alison. I am so very glad to know your friend is getting help. I do believe also that you were a part of her Wish coming true. Sometimes a Wish pours out of one's heart, such as out of your friend, even when they do not formally, consciously make a "Wish" or call it exactly that. Sometimes it comes from so deep within, that a person is barely aware that something in them is crying out for help from inside. Yet it is there, and it is just as powerful because of the intensely strong feeling of it. A wish, a prayer. They are very similar. Something poured out of her heart, and you were there to help. You may consider yourself as having been a part of the answer to someone's Wish. That is an honor.

Ophelia, would it ok to wish for the highest and best for someone? A girl has asked me to help her deal with the bullying she is experiencing. She has told me that she wants to die.

I have told her that she ought to not do it and that she is here for a reason that only she can discover. I asked her if she would like me to wish for the highest and best for her. I would like to know if it is possible to do so. I have already adjusted the wish so that it should not hurt her or anyone else. I will not send the wish until I know if I should send it or change it to something for myself. Thank you Ophelia for answering this.

[Ophelia Fey says] - Hello Alison, I have removed a few lines from your original message, as it was a bit personal and intense. Yes, you may wish for the Highest and Best for your friend. And your words to her were very wise! But keep in mind, depending on her age, she may also be responsible for her own decisions and steps in her life to take... Meaning, that if she is being bullied and if she is a minor, she needs to seek help. And if she is not a minor, she may need to consider an intervention or help from authorities. (I am saying these things in a general manner, not knowing the details.) You too might also encourage her to get help.

Sometimes people rely on a Wish as a passive thing, and so they do not need to do anything. But this is not the case. A Wish will set things in motion, but it can come to a dead stop if the person does not also do their part. Depending on the Wish, that is. I cannot "advise" of course. These are simply observations. I send blessings to both of you.

Wishing for love?

Is it possible to wish for a girl to like you? I love this girl more than anything, and want to be with her forever. I dream about her all the time, and I know this wish was from my heart. Will it happen? Can it happen?

I never believed in luck or mystical beings, until I came to this site. Thank you, you bring hope to us all!

[Ophelia Fey says] -- Please do read all of the pages about Wishing - both from the Menu Bar and from what I have talked about in this Share forum. Nature beings (what mortals often call "fairies") must always work in accordance with nature and natural law. And part of this is the free will of humankind. We are not, therefore, allowed to interfere with free will.

A wish should be about and for you only. If it affects someone else (such as a matter of love), that may not be in accordance with the other person's free will about this. Or may not be for his or her Highest Good. And actually, perhaps not even the Highest Good for you. In the long run. It is not for us to say.

But that is why there are sayings such as, "Things are not always what they were cracked up to be." Or "Things are not always what they seem". The Reality of this relationship could turn out to be quite different than what is in your imagination about this person. We see this happen all the time. If it is meant to work out with that particular person, it will. If not, it will not. But we cannot get involved in matters involving another.

You are like a magnet - by your energy, mood, and predominant thinking and feeling. Those parts of you help draw things to you in life. Therefore, if you seek true love, you must first become that which you seek. And instead of envisioning a certain person, envision qualities of the kind of person you want. Then the person who is best suited to you at this time, will be more likely to be "magnetized" to you. So, as they say, make sure you have become the best Self you can be. So that what you attract will truly be the most suitable. (And you may also include in your Wish that you will be able to recognize that person!) And equally as important, be patient.

[Ophelia Fey says] - No, spelling does not affect your wish. Your wish is all about the intention in your heart. And that is what floats into the Universe to be answered. Writing it out is just a tool. It does not, therefore, need to be "perfect." What is most important is what your wish is about, is it do-able (by nature beings), how strongly you Believe, patience, persistence in it, etc.

What To WIsh For - I am curious

Hello, I am very curious and also a little confused. I have read just about everything on your Wishing pages. I am taking all of this seriously too. I understand you shouldn't wish upon others. Would wishing for "World Peace" or for earth and the environment to get healthier (like more beautiful plants growing, clear, clean air and skies, people recycling more, etc..) be bad?

Also, what about wishing for something to heal as to like Acne (the hormonal kind, which is difficult to clear up).
I take a particular interest in Drama/Live Performing Arts/ Theatre (it is like a passion of mine) and I am working to make that as my major in collage/life, would wishing for simple innocent encouragement and guidance be bad? I believe in having a job that you enjoy doing, I don't care about money, I just care about being happy, and putting a smile on peoples faces and making them laugh, brings me happiness and amusement.

And last, what about wishing to sometimes see faeries every so often, just to observe them, maybe even sometimes have an innocent chat with them, I find all this so interesting.. and I'd never ever mean harm on someone. Thank you!

[Ophelia Fey says] - Hello Nichole. So many questions! Wishing for a healthy and beautiful earth is never bad. In fact, it is a sort of responsibility. But because it involves the free will of others, it may take some time. There are many others who wish for the same, so all of your energies do combine into a stronger and stronger force, which could then finally tip the balance and happen.

A wish regarding healing (i.e. acne) is also very do-able. Healings have happened in different ways (and I know this first-hand for a fact) - that they either can happen quite quickly, or else the person is led to those people and situations that can help them. So keep this in your heart and do not give up. I know of someone who wanted a healing, so to visualize, she did a touched-up photo of herself, as she wanted to look. She focused on this photo daily and read a little "affirmation" she made up about it. Doing this activates one's subconscious mind. And she did find a treatment that helped. You might also look into Spring Forest Qigong (you can "google" it).

You are correct in wanting to have a life's work that you are passionate about. This wish has been planted in your soul by Spirit for a reason. It may very well be tied to your Purpose here.

And... there is absolutely nothing wrong with also wishing for abundance (money) to go with it. This is not selfish whatsoever. After all, it is a necessity on earth. And also what you deserve for giving of yourself and your talents. And there is endless abundance in the Universe.

Consequences of Wishes

I am quite scared of wishes because there might be consequences. I don't know. Why do we have problems if a fairy can grant any wishes?

[Ophelia Fey says] -- Fairies cannot grant ANY wishes. And people mostly have problems because of what they have set in motion already, either by themselves and their thinking, behavior, feeling. Or by those that came before them. And by just Life. Thus there are lessons that need to be learned. And sometimes we are not allowed to meddle with those lessons. This is not to say one thing may be "good" because it seems wonderful, and another may be "bad" because it seems difficult. Just many different kinds of lessons, for gazillions of reasons. We do not judge. It just Is.

The consequences of wishes definitely can happen. So you are wise to be careful. However, you do not want to have fear, for that is very negative. And negative can attract more of the same.

It is especially not wise to try to wish about, or for, someone else. You cannot possibly know what that person is supposed to be learning, and what they must experience. That is not up to you or to us to know or decide. And if you put forth such a wish, it may backfire; it may return to you in an unexpected way.

However, if you are wishing from the sincerity of your heart for something about yourself that you feel truly comes from your heart (and does not harm anyone), and if you leave it up to The Powers That Be to, you might say, adjust it for the Best, then you will be fine. It's always a good idea to mentally adjust it to what is Best and meant to happen. Just in case. For you never know. It might be, after all, quite a bit more spectacular than you ever imagined!
