Reacting To A Fairy

Dear Ophelia, how should I react to a fairy? When I talk to Fairies, (hoping that they are there listening), whenever I hear a little noise I become paranoid and creeped out. But the thing is, when I do meet a Fairy, if I am fortunate enough to, I really think I'll scream! But I really don't want to scare them. I always tell them how much I would like to be Friends, but how should I react if I meet one? I don't want to scare them off forever! Thank you for taking your time to read this. xx

Ophelia Fey says - Alice, I think this is a charming question. I'm sure that when you are talking to fairies they are listening, for they will feel your sincerity. And if you do happen to scream if you see one, they will most likely scream as well, for they could be as startled at you as you are at them. It is sometimes quite unnerving to nature spirits to finally be seen, for we are so used to not. To see a person See for the first time, to stare at us, can be unsettling from our end too. So if they are scared away, it will probably only be for awhile, for curiosity will get the better of them.

Try very hard not to be "paranoid and creeped out." Especially not creeped out. We would hate to be thought of as creepy. The best way to react to fae folk is to stay calm. It may help to not at first stare right at them, but look from the corner of your eyes. That is, in fact, how many people first see them anyway. As with other creatures of nature, they will feel your energy, if you are friendly or not.

You may at first just get a fleeting glimpse. It can be quite startling. It would help tremendously if you could remember to try to smile. You need not say anything. We will feel your respect and excitement (if that is what you are feeling). You could speak very quietly if you'd like. And you could also thank them for showing themselves. For they may actually have been trying to do so, and it may have been quite an effort. To change frequencies.
