Spirit Ghosts and Faeries
by Saille
Dear Ophelia,
I read somewhere that faeries and spirits are the same thing. Is this true? If not, do faeries believe in spirits (ghosts)? I believe in both, but I'd like to know what faeries believe.
Thank you for your time, You can call me Rain or Saille (it's what I introduce myself to faeries as).
Ophelia Fey says -- If you are referring to spirits as just ghosts, then ghosts and faeries are definitely not the same thing. If you are referring to spirits as that which are Unseen, then faeries and ghosts do both belong to the spirit world -- simply the Unseen world. Unseen to most mortals, that is. Mostly because they don't want to bother and they don't believe. Which is fine. Although believing only in that which you can sense with your human senses and see with your outer human eyes is incredibly limiting. And not based in scientific fact, as you may know.
The term ghost means so very many things to different people that it is almost impossible to comment on it. Do faeries believe in that which is not Seen? Yes, since we are part of it. Ghosts are often considered the souls or left-over energy of dead humans that linger around. Yes, that can happen. We are aware of it, but do not put our attention on it, as it is in an entirely different wave length or dimension than we are. And so is irrelevant. That is not our reason for being or mission, and so we leave such things up to Others.
