Who Am I

Who am I, who are we…
Ophelia Fey and
Mary the mortal…
and why are we here?

There are beings, Others, who dwell in the Unseen places of nature.
Faeries they have been called; or Fairies, Fae or Fey.
It matters not,
the names given.
It only matters what they are
the beings of nature who live
and dwell within
the natural world;
another dimension –
yet connected –
a Somewhere between and beyond the world of stories and lore;
another place…
also known to you as the realm Faerie.
But the spirits of nature may not be as you think.

In the whisper of the wind are other whispers.
In the murmur of the brook are other murmurs.
A flicker, a movement, a passing in and out.
There are worlds within worlds, and worlds beyond worlds.
The worlds of the Seen and the Unseen –
that is, to mortals' physical eyes.

And not all fairies believe in mortals either, you know.
It is less common than you think.
You are invisible to most.
Your race is known mostly through our Mortal Tales,
the legends and myths of olde,
spun around the fae-fire during long nights.
Fae folk dwell, after all, in a different Frequency –
the mortal realm being far more dense. And few fae folk wish to go there.

Not only is beauty in the eye of the beholder –
everything is in the eye of the beholder.

But not all will See. Not all will Understand.
For they are not meant to.
But there are some who will Understand.
Perhaps you…

So enter the world of Ophelia Fey,
with Mary the mortal.
Our domain, our web within your Web,
is not for everyone;
just as football is not for everyone…
or knitting, or eating
chocolate-covered grasshoppers.
Or having pet tarantulas or
parachuting out of airplanes.
Not all things are for everyone.
Thus our world is only for the Few.
Perhaps you.

There indeed are those amongst you linked
to Faerie;
they may feel it. We hope to find you
and tell you something about the Unseen dimensions beyond nature.

And to pass on certain secrets to those who can Understand.
We cannot tell all, of course. Just a little...
but a little may be enough.

but only some secrets are told here, other must be found.

This is but a small glimpse into the world of Faerie,
with Ophelia Fey and Mary.

Though you may not see the beings of nature, we are here
for our worlds are forever interconnected.
